Objects of the charity 1) The object of the charity is to relieve women over the age
of 50 who are in need, by virtue of financial hardship, sickness or poor
health. 2) If and in so
far as the income of the charity cannot be applied towards the object above
it may be applied to relive men over the age of 50 who are in need, by virtue
of financial hardship, sickness or poor health. (Note: Currently the level
of applications by women is such that we are unable to meet all these
applications, so application by men will not be considered.) |
We help women by making grants to cover a range of needs, for
example, funding removal costs, paying telephone bills, buying cookers &
fridges and settling outstanding rent. Please note we do not pay cash directly to applicants.
Typically grants do not exceed £500. Applicants can live anywhere in the UK, of any marital status,
living alone or with family/friends. For an application to be considered you must be prepared to
provide written evidence (bank statements etc.). If you make an application be sure to provide all the
information requested - if not it the application may be rejected.
